Mitochondria are tiny structures inside our cells. Their job is to turn nutrients and oxygen into ATP, the usable energy cells need to carry out everyday work, including maintenance, signalling and repair.
Red and near-infrared light can be absorbed by light-sensitive molecules involved in mitochondrial function. This process is called photobiomodulation. Research suggests it can influence cellular energy production and signalling, particularly in stressed tissue.
In plain English, the light does not add collagen or physically repair the skin by itself. It gives skin cells a carefully controlled signal that may help them work more efficiently. That can support the biological processes behind repair, renewal and healthier-looking skin. The response is dose-dependent, which is why wavelength, power, treatment time and consistency matter.

A full charge provides approximately 10 to 12 treatments. Dermalux lists USB-C charging and supplies the appropriate charging cable with the device.
How should I clean it?+
Wipe the mask before each treatment using a soft antibacterial or water-based wipe, then allow it to dry fully. Do not immerse it in water or use unsuitable cleaning products. Follow the supplied care instructions to protect the LEDs and finish.
